Fishkeeping dates back to Roman times, and first became a popular hobby in Europe in the 1600s. Four types of fish are kept in home aquaria: tropical freshwater species, tropical marine species, coldwater freshwater species, coldwater marine species. An aquarium's features are usually chosen to imitate the natural habitat of the fish. Many people started to have an aquarium in their homes.

Samhika Aksharabhyasa Karyakramam (Mass Literacy Programme ) was conducted jointly by Rajiv Vidya Mission , Chittoor and Sri Kalahasteeswara Devasthanam on 18.6.08 in the Temple.

Nearly two thousand children attended the function along with their
parents and teachers.While the pandits chant vedas the kids wrote

House Committee visit

Sri.Nadendla Manohar chairman, Assembly house committee had visited Municipal Upper Primary school, sannidhi street on 1.2.08. The house committee enquired about use of computers in the class rooms . They felt happy when third class children do maths problems in the computer.
Further he verified the records regarding the utilisation of funds received fro Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and satisfied with the maintenance of records.
