READ:LIBRARY WEEK 1.8.07 to 7.8.07




To develop the reading habit among the childen from 1.8.07 to 7.8.07 Library week is conducted in the school.Prior to that a ralley will be cnducted in the habitation involving the public,parents and people representatives.


On 1st August National Flag willbe hoisted by the School Management Committee Chairman.The Library books available in the school will be graded according to the class and they will be displayed in the class rooms easily visible to the kids. Further the public is invited to visit the school. Books ,magazines and old newspapers will be collected. Further a period is allotted for Read programme.

Using this card the children try to count the figures and write the numbers in the boxes.

Post Box


The Department of Education this year had introduced one more novel programme "SCHOOL POST BOX". The main aim of this programme is to make children express their feelings in writing freely on any topic. The children post their letters in the School post Box. In the evening the box is opened and the letters will be read.
In our school the children themselves made a small post box with cardboard displayed it in the varanda.Every evening the 'SAMACHARA COMMITTEE" will open the box collect the letters and read them in the prayer hall.Children are joyful to participate in this activity.

Self Learning Material for Kids








Self learning material are prepared either by teachers or by children. Children in the class rooms study the material , understand the data given, discuss with co-members of the group and solve the problems individually or in group. This material is intended for Class II maths.This is used for comparing the numbers ,addition and substraction.

Bala samghalu


To involve students in all the school activities with joy Balala Samghalu have been formed.Dr.Abdul Kalalm says: "Students should not search for jobs. They should create jobs."










It is the prime responsibility of the present day students to make India a super power in science and Technology .To develop the leadership qualities,groupwork,free discussions with teachers and parents, involving the community in the development activities are some of the main ideas in forming these Balala Samghalu.In our school the following associations have been formed.






CLAPS 2007-08




The Department of Education In Andhra Pradesh had introduced an unique programme in the year 2006-07 CLAPS. This means Children Learning Acceleration Programme of sustainability. The main intention of the programme is to make the learning process more easy and joyful.
This year some new novel programmes are introduced to make the school atmosphere friendly.In the begining of the year the details of the 5+ children were taken. A moss programme called "SAMUHIKA AKSHRABHYASA KARYAKRAMAM" was conducted on 18th of june for the enrollment of the children. In our Temple Town Srikalahasti, Mr.Kola Anand, Chairman of the Governing Body of Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy Temple took pains to conduct this programme in the premisses of the temple. He made all arrangements by providing slates to the newly enrolled children . The Chittor District Educational Officer Smt.K Hymavathi and other prominent persons in the town had attended the function.WALL MAGAZINE (GODA PATHRIKA).
This one is really most interesting to the children. The main aim of this activity is to make children particiate individually or in groups for collecting material regarding cartoons, Essays, Jokes, Pictures poems and anything related to the knowledge. Demonstrating the material collected by the children on the wall will give the children an opportunity to demonstrate their skills.

About My School

Iam Darwaja Balasubramanyam working as a HeadMaster in Municipal Upper Primary School, Sannidhi street, Sri Kalahasti.My school is situated besides Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy Temple at the riverbed of Swarna Mukhi. Initially it was a primary school with I to V classes and later on it was upgraded as Upper Primary Level. For years together it was running in a rented building which was in a ruin stage.
Sri A.R. Rama Nathan Chettiar from Devakottai Tamilnadu whose ancestors were the renovators of Sri Kalahasti Temple had donated a site for the construction of the school Building. The Government of Andhra Pradesh under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan scheme has kindly provided amount for the construction of the school building.
Thanks a lot to the donor of the site Sri A.Ramanathan Chettiar.
Further Sri Teegala Koteswara Rao, a prominent prperson in the town promissed to donate a Saraswathi Statue. He had already provided a steel almara to the school and presenting a cash award of Rs.1,116/ every year to the best performers in seventh class examination.

Sri G.Sathya Narayana who had already donated a D.V.D player came forward to provide a gate at the entrance. Sri. K Sri Rama Moorthy Ex.Chairman of Sri Kalahasteeswaraswamy Temple governing Body Chairman promissed to provide another gate .

To encourage the poor students Sri.K.Balaji kindly provided free notebooks to all the children.

We will be very happy if any body comes forward to help the needy children.
